Profession Practice for Photographic Communication Briefing


Work placement

Submit (hard and electronic copy as a ‘Word’ document) A work placement report of 2000-2500 words. This must include a rationale of your chosen target market, what careers are available related to this area, and an analysis of your placement(s). This should be supported by a research document (folder etc.) demonstrating engagement with opportunities available, placements looked at, and market research.

Students must include a project proposal and all relevant / requested documentation in support of their placement(s). E.g. Risk assessments. Research & report writing templates. Student and provider declarations. Placement-Sponsor Document & Student Assessment documents etc.





OR



Arts Council application

A completed Arts Council Funding application and project proposal (from the perspective of you as a recent graduate) together with (electronic) examples of work that you made / intend to make in support of this bid (tests etc.), and research into your area.



OR



Leading an independent project, e.g. Live Brief / Competition work;



Final output for the live brief/ competition digital & printed if applicable

Research into client/ competition type & history/ past outputs (examples) + analysis of outputs report of 1000-1500 words





The above should be supported by a research document (folder etc.) demonstrating engagement with opportunities available, briefs looked at, and market research. Including:



Documentation of current live brief/ competition opportunity (together with analysis/ reflection)

What is the audience + Target Market?

Analysis of how you intend to fulfill the brief/ competition (technical perspective)

Project proposal outlining on how you intend to fulfill the brief/ competition (concept/ aesthetic)

Documentation of communication with client(s)/ documentation of all communication from competition

Mock ups of work in stiu/ context + analysis/ reflection
